Page move

[edit]

IMDB has it as "The Trials of Life"; The old VHS cover has "The Trials of Life" [1] and on this page [2] hosted by the BBC it says "The Trials of Life". Mintguy

  • I'm happy for a sys admin to move it back, if anyone thinks it realy necessary; and for the page to mention the issue. Andy Mabbett 22:20, 19 Dec 2003 (UTC)
You don't have to be an admin to move it back. Try it. Mintguy

Running time

[edit]

UK DVDs are advertised as running for 10 hours - that's 12x50mins. Andy Mabbett 19:05, 13 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Then why did you remove my mention that the episodes are 50 minutes long in the opening paragraph? Matt Deres

The episodes are more like 30mins each. This is easy to check. PhS (talk) 09:59, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please refer to the "DVD and Book" section of the article. The full episodes are 50 minutes long. The shorter episodes are abridged versions from a DVD.Cparsons79 (talk) 14:42, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the correction! PhS (talk) 21:27, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Episode summaries

[edit]

Similar to those provided for Life on Earth and The Living Planet, I shall be gradually adding original episode summaries to this article to replace the current ones that were sourced from elsewhere. Chris 42 20:57, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

R4 DVD release

[edit]

The information on the DVD release suggests that this series is available as a four DVD set in region 4 - has anyone a reference to back this up? I understood (in NZ at least) that only the 3-disc set was available Quadparty 22:29, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The info on the back of the 4-disc set clearly states "Regions 2 + 4" (PAL UK). This description from Amazon states Region 2 only, but I have a copy of the 2004 DVD release, and it is as stated in the article. Chris 42 22:38, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Try also this link to the BBC's shop, which confirms it. Chris 42 22:43, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The DVD might be dual R2/R4, but has it ever sold in either Australia or New Zealand in that form? Quadparty 11:24, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, now you have me! I don't know, so I think I'd better modify the wording.. Chris 42 11:37, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
